Picture the scene. A lovely warm, sunny day, not too hot, and with a gentle breeze just cooling the skin while cycling along. Not at all the usual English Summer day. More often, a howling wind, messing up your hair, whether your own or a wig, blowing your dress around your thighs - so annoying! Charlotte and Tamsin both have long hair wigs but today's gentle breeze is fine.
They haven't got tickets but the Rock Festiva at Barton sounds like fun so Charlotte and Tamsin plan to cycle there and then, if they like the sounds, they hope to buy day-only tickets on the gate, or even better, slip in through a neighbouring field!
So they cycle off, taking a blanket for sitting on the grass, money for tickets (if necessary) and drinks and food. After a pleasant slow cycle the 4 miles or so to the Festival location, they arrive and seeing the marshalls on the gate, cycle past and slip into the neighboring field where they lock their bikes to a gate. Creeping stealthily along the hedgerow with only rucksacks holding blanket, clothing etc, they find a suitable gap near the tent field and slip into the Festival unnoticed! Yo! Bouyed by their success, they call up friends Britney and Lily and then Lucy and invite them along too.

Not a picnic day for wigsagogo!
Charlotte and Tamsin were planning to team up with mates, Lucy, Lily and Britney, for a picnic party today but unfortunately the weather is just too windy and too cold. It is August for heaven sake! The wind is making a bad hair day for everyone today and our friends in wigs are especially conscious of this rough weather.
It is not that the girls are afraid that the wigs may blow off - they will not, but the strong, gusty wind will play havoc with their styles and spoil their enjoyment of the picnic food and drink. All the girls use the adjustable hooks on the wigs to adjust the wig to fit perfectly
snugly. Lily wears a short wig so she worries less, and even she sometimes wears a hairband to keep it from flopping over her face when she is busy. Britney, who loves her really long wig sometimes ties it back, either just looping and tieing the hair itself or by using a hairband or ribbon.
Pictured here, Lily at the top, Britney in the middle and Lucy at the bottom. The picnic has been ruled out by the weather so our lovely girls are going to have fun trying on each others wigs and doing make-up and manicures.

Charlotte & Tamsin love wearing wigs.
Charlotte and Tamsin, two friends of many years back, love changing their styles frequently and they have found that the easiest way to do that hairstyle-wise, is by wearing a wig. They can have a completely different length, colour, style and can complement a new outfit without the expense and time of frequent visits to the salon!
These two girls are young and fashion conscious as well as being quite hard up financially, so they could not afford to ring the changes as often as they would like to if they relied on going to a hair salon every time. Instead, they save their money for other less easy quick fixes, like a new dress or shoes which, like wigs and hairpieces can be worn again and again, but do not wear out in between uses!
The first time Charlotte and Tamsin bought wigs to wear for fashion was for their Prom Party. Leaving school and only allowed the dress from their parents, they were forced to think laterally for something new for their hairstyle. Here are the wigs they chose. Left is Charlotte - a gorgeous wig with four colours and a long layered style. Right is Tamsin and she has gone for a very glam red wig.
